Parents As Partners
On admission to our nursery, your child will be allocated a key person who will be their main carer within their nursery group. Your child’s key person will observe and guide their development whilst recording information in their Nursery Diary which will be given upon entry. Information within this will include;
- Nappy changes and feeds
- Progress with potty training
- Daily activities
- Group work / Teaching sessions
- Dietary information (when necessary)
- Accidents and illnesses
- General comments
We adopt an open door policy where we encourage you to share information with your child’s key person or the nursery managers. This can be done through discussion or within the Nursery Diary which will be read daily. We ask you to inform us of any accidents that have happened at home or any circumstances that may affect the welfare of your child.
Although we adopt an open door policy, you will also have the opportunity to meet with us to observe your child’s learning journey and discuss their development during our parents’ evenings which are arranged every six months. In addition to this, newsletters will be sent home informing you of important news and forthcoming events.
